Digital Photography
Animation today combines artistic expression and digital technology. Traditionally animators would attempt to create the illusion of movement by piecing together a string of pictures. Today, with the great advances in digital photography, animation can be seen in an entirely different light.
With training through an animation or digital design school, you will learn how to combine artistic creation with technical skills. Your program at a college, university or technical institution will teach you the skills of animation in two or three dimensions. The course work will then lead you into an area of specialty like digital photography, where you will learn how to take pictures with a variety of cameras and then how to manipulate the images. The skills of an animator take over as you work with the digital images to bring about the desired result.
Great animation with digital photography will come as you use your skills in both fields to experiment and try new approaches. One of the great advantages of digital technology is that you can see your results immediately rather than waiting for the photos to be processed. Your college or university program will help you exploit such advantages in preparation for a career in animation and digital photography.
