Broadcast journalism is the use of radio and TV to disseminate news and information - from world news to your local weather. With the introduction of the Internet, broadcast journalism is extended to online platforms. Such online journalism can add multimedia elements, such as text and graphics, sound, music, motion video, and animation, to traditional written content. Animation may be used in broadcast journalism to deliver supporting information in compelling ways.
In an Animation/ broadcast journalism course, you will learn traditional journalism courses such as writing, interviewing or presenting, or engage in research – all activities that are required to create, produce and deliver a program through radio, television or other mass media. In addition, you will augment the classical training with web-based communication theory, site design, navigation, and streaming broadcast media.
You will may learn to design and compose computer-generated graphics and animation for television or the Internet.
